Elizabeth Friedman

Liz Friedman spent 34 years directing continuing education programs and other conferences for lawyers, accountants and the business community at organizations that included INSLAW, Inc., The District of Columbia Bar and The Institute for Professional and Executive Development, where she spent two decades as its executive director. At the same time, she served on the boards of a number of non-profits including the Washington Project for the Arts, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Abramson Memorial Foundation and the Center for Dispute Settlement. After her professional retirement, she was on the DC Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League and worked for over a decade as a kitchen volunteer and, later, program committee member for Food and Friends. She recently completed 14 years on the board of Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, where she served as first vice president and founder/chair of Dinner on Stage, among other positions. Liz is currently a member of the board and secretary of the condominium association of Washington Harbor, where she resides with her husband Paul.
