Ann Rebollar

Ann Rebollar is originally from Mexico and migrated when she was a young girl. She decided to join the U.S. Army to demonstrate her gratitude and appreciation to the U.S. She served as a Medical Service Corps officer in the US Army for seven years and deployed to Afghanistan OEF with the 101st Airborne Air Assault Division. In 2017, she transitioned out of the military as a Captain in the U.S. Army to pursue her Doctor of Psychology degree at Our Lady of the Lake University. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Lafayette College, a master's degree in counseling psychology from Capella University and is a doctoral candidate at Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). At OLLU, she served as the Treasurer and Secretary for the Student Veterans of America and was nominated as a Top 10 Student Veteran of the Year in 2019.

In the community, Ann is a beacon of change. She is in the Bezos Scholar Selection Committee as a 2005 Bezos Scholar herself. She serves as the Texas District 20 VFW Female Veteran Committee chairperson where she mentors, recruits, and advises members on programs geared towards Female Veterans from Bexar, Wilson, and Atascosa Counties. She hosts the Leveling Up Talk Series for Grace After Fire where her fellow sisters-in-arms share and support each other with everyday challenges. She hosts Wonder Woman Wednesday monthly with Camp SHiEld where she focuses on providing coping skills and goal setting to other sisters-in-arms. On her off time, she volunteers with The Mission Continues beautifying her community.

She is most passionate about sharing practical mental health tools for everyday struggles that we all face. She is planning to establish her private practice serving veterans and Spanish speaking populations after obtaining her License Professional Counseling (LPC) licensure. She currently works as a contracted Recovery Manager as part of the Home and Community-Based Services – Adult Mental Health (HCBS-AMH) program.

She is a proud beekeeper after successfully training with Heroes for Hives and being a 2024 Hives for Heroes scholarship recipient. She is a mother of three wonderful children who are part of the team of selling organic honey under their brand Heroee| Heroes Making Honey.
