Navy Veteran
Erin Stone
Erin was born and raised in Lockport, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Operations Analysis) from the U.S. Naval Academy and received her Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center through the Navy’s Law Education Program. She later received her Masters in Law in Litigation and Dispute Resolution from The George Washington University. Erin retired as a Captain from the U.S. Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps in 2017 and subsequently served as Senior Director for Council and Chapter Affairs at the Military Officers Association of America until December 2023. Erin’s favorite pastimes are to care for the animals on her small farm in Spotsylvania, Virginia, play with her nine grandchildren, hike and do yoga. She hopes to incorporate the education and perspectives gained during her Dog Tag fellowship with her interests and passions to create an equestrian-themed retreat with programs to help young single parents achieve self-sufficiency. She is an adventurous eater and a fan of anything sweet.
