Army Spouse
Jeannie Windham
Jeannie Windham was born and raised in Great Falls, SC. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Coastal Carolina University. She then moved to China Grove, NC to begin her career and earned National Board Certification and respect for her out of the box teaching style. She later left the classroom to become a caretaker for her first husband until his death in 2015.
In 2016, Jeannie met her husband Jason, an Army Veteran. She loved being a wife, homemaker, and dog mom, and with Jason’s love and support, she pursued her love of creating and learning. While preparing to turn her love of organizing into a business, her husband lost his life to PTSD. With greater strength, resilience, and confidence, she found purpose through the pain and beauty within the struggle.
A friend suggested she apply to Dog Tag after hearing her desire to open a non-profit organization for veterans and survivor spouses. With a love of learning, growing, and determined to turn tragedy into triumph she is excited to gain the tools to make her dream a reality and belong to a community of learning, sharing, and supporting.
Her favorite dessert is chocolate cake.
