Army Veteran & Military Spouse
Kate Green
Class
Summer 2024
Kate Green is a military spouse and Army veteran. Growing up in Illinois, Kate received her bachelor’s in psychology at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville whilst participating in Army ROTC. Upon commissioning, she became an Army officer. After leaving the service, Kate moved to various places with her husband, an Army officer, most recently Alexandria. She earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. Kate established an LLC for her clinical work as a Licensed Professional Counselor with adult women and works remotely with clients in the states of MO, TX, and VA.
By chance, walking around looking for a sweet treat brought Kate to Dog Tag. Kate’s husband pointed out the Fellowship signs on the walls and encouraged her to apply. This chance encounter was timely, as Kate was looking to increase her client count and needed some guidance.
From the Fellowship, Kate anticipates gaining a better understanding of business fundamentals to make her LLC more profitable. She intends to increase motivation and structure, which can be difficult being her own boss and only employee. Kate also hopes to meet amazing peers with whom she can experience this time of growth.
Kate’s favorite baked good is vanilla cupcakes.
