Kristin Finley

Kristin Finley was born on Westover Air Force Base and grew up in Williamsville, NY.  She earned a BA in communications from Michigan State University. After graduation, she enlisted in the Army and became a Korean linguist serving with the 7th Infantry Division. She later married her husband, Steven, in Monterey and soon after was medically separated from service.

As an Army spouse, Kristin was stationed throughout the U.S. and Korea. She was active in the spouse community, volunteering in base organizations. After being stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, the family decided to stay in the area, and Kristin raised her two children and became a teacher. She has taught in elementary schools for the last 14 years. 

Kristin learned of Dog Tag Bakery from an Army friend and has enjoyed going to the bakery when visiting the DC area to see her children. Kristin looks forward to all the opportunities the Dog Tag Fellowship will bring to help her with transitioning careers. 

Kristin is looking forward to savoring many ginger cookies!
