Tracy Allison is a native of Washington, D.C. She began her career in food service management, and has firsthand experience with the challenges of trying to maintain one’s own career as a military spouse and mother. After spending nine years at Dover AFB, her husband deployed to Afghanistan and then their family relocated to Germany. It was in Germany that she explored different cuisines while working in a restaurant and developed an interest in becoming a chef.
When her husband retired from the Air Force and they returned to the states, Tracy jumped at the chance to return to school and received an associates in culinary arts with an emphasis in baking and pastry and a BA in Hospitality Management at Stratford University.
It was at Stratford that she met a classmate and Dog Tag alum who introduced her to the program. Tracy hopes that participating in the program will enhance her entrepreneurial skills and empower her to create opportunities for herself as a retired military spouse.
Tracy is a self-proclaimed foodie with a sweet tooth and loves chocolate chip cookies.
